Trump is as honest as the day is long, as they say every Christmas at the north pole.

A long time ago, like a really long time ago, I read a book 'Ginger Lacy, Fighter Pilot', which a fantastic telling of the WW2 RAF experience, based around the pilot in question. It's well worth a read - apparently it's available on Amazon.

When in a foreign country, you have to respect the rules and regulations of that country, even if you dont agree with them. Thailand has VERY strict laws against saying ANYTHING bad about the royal family or king (lese majeste laws). I am aware of them, and no matter what I think of the king of Thailand or the law itself, I would never allow anything that could be seen as breaking these laws.

@jon-nyc said in Attempted Murder: I wonder how it’s normally charged? Probably varies by state. Indeed it does. For example in Minnesoooooooota it's a misdemeanor but they're trying to pass a law to make it a felony.

@Copper said in It gets personal: All told, more than 30,000 federal employees were fired in recent weeks after the Trump administration directed a mass purge of probationary staff. https://www.govexec.com/workforce/2025/03/trump-administration-taking-steps-comply-court-orders-reinstate-tens-thousands-fired-workers/403795/ Keep up! They have been rehired since what Trump did was not legal. Now they're getting paid to play golf! (or whatever they do on paid leave) 25,000 employees... costing us $8 million per day. So much winning! https://nodebb.the-new-coffee-room.club/topic/37080/judge-reverses-mass-firings-of-federal-workers/11

Does Soros still read TNCR? I haven't seen him post here for a while, but I've had him blocked since that time he posted those photos of me in my underwear.

Good. Presuming we can believe the numbers. It's crazy that 30,000 is a "low" number for a month, but even crazier that it was 250,000 the previous two years...

44% of the Bengals salary cap on three players. Three we had last year I might add.

Funny, I remember when craft beer in cans was an absolute travesty. Then came along Oskar Blues Brewery's "Dale's Pale Ale" in a can, and the industry started to realize how much easier it made the "bottling" process and cheaper goods, and cheaper distribution. Yes, @Doctor-Phibes most crafts are now in cans, usually 16-ouncers.

@jon-nyc said in Hey Asshat MAMILs…: That could be dangerous. Often big groups are too spread out with a few stragglers 30-50ft behind. They may consider themselves part of the group for purposes of running the red, meanwhile other cars might not notice them. There must be a group leader and he or she has the legal responsibility of taking care of proper formation of the riders. I've also taken part in such rides many times. The formation is formally temporarily dissolved when climbing a mountain and then re-established on top. It doesn't happen that anyone is behind while the group formation is active. It can be quite annoying for cars but it is less dangerous for the bike riders than the alternative, I think.
